About Me

Hi, I'm Jen.

I’m a Clinical Psychology Registrar, and the Director of MindsInMotion Brisbane.

I aim to create a warm, accepting space for you to feel comfortable being your authentic self. It’s important to me that you feel heard, respected and empowered, as we work together to navigate life’s challenges and reach your goals.

I work with adults who have experienced traumatic events, experience difficulties with anxiety (e.g., phobias, panic disorder, agoraphobia, emetophobia, social anxiety), depression, their relationship and sleep. I'm also a warm, safe space for our LGBTQIA+
community.

I use a range of evidence-based practices, including EMDR (personal preference), CBT, ACT and DBT skills. We'll discuss your particular treatment options towards the start of our time together. Most of the time we'll combined parts of these interventions to get the best results. For example, for needle phobia, we might complete distress tolerance skills from DBT, then process distressing memories of getting blood tests using EMDR, and finish by engage in exposure to needles/blood tests using CBT to ensure you're able to cope.
Whether you’re seeking support for a specific challenge or simply want to explore your well-being in a safe and down-to-earth environment, I’m here and happy to help.

Jen works from Duality and Co. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
